do what you can

i stumbled across this quote at work in my little calendar and it’s become my mantra over the past few weeks. i sometimes find the lines rolling around in my head – “do what you can…” – and I have to say it helps when the right path isn’t so clear. stress has been an unwelcome shadow of late and I’m doing my best to be good to myself. sleep is now my best friend which is partly why I have been so quiet here. i’ll update more soon when the words hopefully will come a little easier than they are at the moment.

Today I quietly said goodbye to my best mate of 12 years.

the gals from the sun state roller girls held their second bout for the season last weekend, with the liquorice short shorts taking on the golden roughs again.
have I mentioned how much I love roller derby? you may be interested to know that B may be just as big a fan as me when it comes to derby, as evident from the photo above. see him there right up front looking up at me in his suicide seat? (he was keen to get there early to get good seats!)
