simply breakfast

If you’ve been to Jen’s cool website Simply Photo before then maybe you’ve noticed a project she was working on in 2007 & 2008 called Simply Breakfast which explored ‘the art of breakfast’. Sadly, the project is now finished but I was happy to see that there are two books that can be purchased with collections of her photos from the project over the past two years. You can still go through the archives but I must admit it was nice to follow the project on a near daily basis while it was in progress.

where 2008 was slightly chaotic and hurried, my goal for 2009 is to slow things down. i look back to the past year and am left with the feeling that i was always running to catch up.
i’m determined that this year will be about simplifying our little life. about filtering what’s important and what’s not so important and enjoying the process a lot more. reminding myself that it’s not about being perfect, but about being. actually living and not waiting for ‘real life’ to begin after this or that is finished. after all, it’s about the ride, right? not the destination.
