everything in its right place

Today I discovered a wonderful site called Things Organized Neatly. I think this will be a new daily view for me. I get a strange sense of calm knowing that everything has a place and home. Some of my friends would call this ocd. I call it being organised. :) Or something…
Go have a look. This site is great!

**Note:** I apologise for my absence from this little spot on the net for the past few months. It has been a difficult time personally with family health issues taking up all of my (our) time and attention. Things are very much on the up and hopefully this means for a restful and stress-free rest of the year! It’s really nice to be back! xx
daydreaming

I’ve always had a soft spot for old school bicycles. It’s a little ironic that my brother seems to have inadvertently become a bit of collector with a few beautiful vintage bikes now gracing his shed. I’m already day dreaming about summer rides to the park on his beautiful electric blue banana seat cruiser, although he’s yet to learn of my plans.
On the weekend i was at a picnic at New Farm Park and spotted no less than three beautiful cruisers (similar to this) on separate occasions, with their owners lovingly riding them in the sun or carefully parking them next to their picnic blanket. One of these beauties was pastel blue with dual wicker basket paniers (like these). Bliss!
B6
October 25, 2010

Last friday night I was sent to shoot chinese DJ B6, as part of the UpLate series at the Gallery of Modern Art. This was a little bit of a different experience for me. I’ve only just been getting accustomed to turning up to a gig in my comfy shoes and clothes, preparing myself for beer being flung at me, moshers smashing into me and the occasional abuse being hurled in my direction. Along with loud, LOUD music. It was a pleasant change to get dressed up, bring along a good friend and get some shots while casually enjoying some music and the exhibition of Valentino gowns that was on show. I only wish I could have also photographed some of the beautiful outfits but I guess you can’t win ‘em all!

running on empty
April 26, 2010

today’s flickr blog features a gallery curated by greenkozi. “running on empty” is a beautiful, strangely fascinating, photographic collection of petrol stations, those beacons of light along the long lonely interstate highways that get us to where we’re heading, often when the roads are empty and the world is sleeping.
