i thought that in the next few weeks i’d share some of my favourite places to visit on the net and what better place to start with than one of my favourite daily reads!
my favourite blog to visit for quite some time has been sandra juto’s. i love getting a glimpse into her daily life and it’s lovely to see all the details she notices in her daily wanderings. i’m all about the details. her photos are unassuming but acute and it feels like she really gets under the skin of gothenburg, the city she lives in.
i also love getting to see her daily creative process both at home and in her new studio.

sandra is so the bees-knees. have you seen her wrist worms? and her illustrations? she makes softies too.
i always feel happy after visiting her site. go have a look:
+her portfolio.
+her shop.
+and go here for her blog.
+she’s also on flickr.

my favourite time to go to the beach is at night when often i have the beach all to myself. it’s always free from the noises of the day and it seems the ocean roars much louder. on our recent short break at noosa, b and i would often find ourselves taking a siesta during the hottest part of the day in the cool, only to emerge in the late afternoon to start exploring. it was the perfect recipe for a holiday.
because movember wasn’t really an option…

caloundra music festival | oct, 2009]
i’m a little bit late to the game but I’ve decided to give NaBloPoMo a try for november. i can’t guarantee that come november 20 i won’t be pulling out the “what i had for lunch” posts, but i’ll do my best to try and spare you from those gems. wish me luck!
ok….GO!
feeling the burn
October 26, 2009

caloundra music festival was great! it was my first time shooting with a media pass and i must say it was a little exciting. lots of nice people and the venue had a really friendly, low-key beach-ey vibe. no matter how much suncream i used, however, i came home with a (somewhat wonky, uneven) sunburn. my arms now have random tan lines (i have a truckers arm!) and only the bottom half of my face got burned below the line of my cap that i was wearing. good times.
now to slowly start sorting all the photographs…

can you believe i’ve had dave’s film sitting in my fridge for four years? how does that even happen?
he came and stayed with us before leaving on his culinary adventures abroad, leaving me his exposed films and lovely camera…

…four years ago.
