my broken camera

i’ve finally heard back from canon about the state of my poor camera. It looks like the camera is a-ok and it’s my lens that’s actually cactus. something about the power diaphragm assembly? the lady i talked to on the phone told me she’d try and have it back to me in 5 days which is great, but it’s not covered by warranty like the camera is, so the repairs will have to be paid for. boo.

+ me having gourmet pizza for lunch from the awesome pizza place.
I think it’s kinda cool that it’s a black friday. Did you know that a fear of friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia? I did not know that.

my faithful sidekick jade turned 10 years old last november. She’s still as beautiful as ever.
this last weekend i dropped into my work so i took her for a ride with me into the city.
it broke my heart to realise how much she is showing her age:
i had to lift her out of the car as she couldn’t make the jump to the pavement…
she had to go very slowly down the unfamiliar stairs…
there was also,however, much happiness+tail-wagging after meeting the guys at work. she’s such a great dog…
