Beautiful book spines from the selby found via Lena Corwin’s blog.

We’re a sleepy household tonight. B and the kitteh are already asleep in bed next to me and I’m going to follow them shortly. Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy.

… a lady with a broken leg on crutches.
Her right foot was wrapped in a (heavy looking) fluro pink cast. She was dressed in a corporate outfit: knee-length skirt, nice blouse, handbag and lunch bag. On her one good foot she had on a leopard print stiletto.

(I see a twisted left ankle in her future)

Some wonderful discoveries on this lazy weekend. On my hunt for a SIGG water bottle that could be bought locally, I discovered the Biome store here in Brisbane! How have I not seen this place before? I’ve put it firmly on my list of places to come back to when this are a little less busy.

In the meantime, have a look at this beautiful necklace and ring made in Australia from recovered silver (pure silver from the photographic industry and copper from mobile phone chargers!)

I also would find this very useful, especially during Winter. Just to remind me again that we’re in a drought when I’m sleepy and warm under the shower.

Driving home yesterday I stopped to chase (urge?) a duck from the middle of the road. He was visibly (and audibly) upset at my interfering in his business.*
As I continued on home, I noticed a large group of ducks about 500 metres away loitering in a park. I wonder why he wasn’t hanging out with them?

*A lady drove past smirking at my getting told off by a duck. It was somewhat embarrassing…
