everything in its right place

Today I discovered a wonderful site called Things Organized Neatly. I think this will be a new daily view for me. I get a strange sense of calm knowing that everything has a place and home. Some of my friends would call this ocd. I call it being organised. :) Or something…
Go have a look. This site is great!

**Note:** I apologise for my absence from this little spot on the net for the past few months. It has been a difficult time personally with family health issues taking up all of my (our) time and attention. Things are very much on the up and hopefully this means for a restful and stress-free rest of the year! It’s really nice to be back! xx

I’ve been meaning to post a photo of my beautiful hand painted porcelain skull by iggy & lou lou. The photo doesn’t do the painting justice, but it is very pretty.
[I wonder if these little sculptures are inspired by the skull imagery of Día de los Muertos?]

I went to shoot sydney duo KYU on friday at an awesome live performance in the beautiful Old Museum building. Their beautiful layerfest of drums, vocals and pretty sounds was hypnotic to watch and I found it amazing that these two softly spoken girls could belt out the almost tribal sounds that they did.
You can hear some of their music here.

I’ve always had a soft spot for old school bicycles. It’s a little ironic that my brother seems to have inadvertently become a bit of collector with a few beautiful vintage bikes now gracing his shed. I’m already day dreaming about summer rides to the park on his beautiful electric blue banana seat cruiser, although he’s yet to learn of my plans.
On the weekend i was at a picnic at New Farm Park and spotted no less than three beautiful cruisers (similar to this) on separate occasions, with their owners lovingly riding them in the sun or carefully parking them next to their picnic blanket. One of these beauties was pastel blue with dual wicker basket paniers (like these). Bliss!
