life has been keeping me very busy lately and my little space here has been left a little neglected. lots has been happening!
I’ve started studying again and i’m also excited to say I’m a roller derby girl in-training! i’ve joined the wonderful gals at sun state roller girls and i’m excited to be going to watch my first bout this saturday!
the best news by far (a little old now but still) is that our little buddy Stewie was found and is home safe & sound after going missing for almost 3 months! and by a twist of fate, we adopted Lucy the day before stewie was found! so its been an interesting time recently while our two little buddies learnt to be buddies with each other…

counting to 4

i love Feist and finding this made me so happy.

“1, 2, 3, 4, chickens just back from the shore!”

+ This song is lovely also. it feels like a beautiful late night song meant for listening in the dark.

so, wow. 2010! it’s here and has been for a few days now. holidays are over and it’s time to face the year ahead. I’m so happy to welcome this fabulous fresh new year. 2010 so far is all about good news, new directions, slowing down but not bowing out, family, friends, adventures and learning.

i wish you and yours a happy and healthy 2010!
xx

beau & trouble

December 10, 2009

it was a great day for mail today! the brooch i ordered weeks ago at finders keepers arrived today and it’s nicer than i could have imagined! beau & trouble are a duo of brisbane artists making limited edition handmade jewellery. it’s nice to know how lovely both janice & natalie are and how much care and love they put into each piece.

i also was given the lovely wrap you can see in the picture above. a family friend has just returned from 3 weeks at a buddhist monastery in tibet and she brought back this lovely handloomed wrap. i really love this colour combination and i’ve been told that these wraps are super warm. looking forward to using this during our very brief, blink and you’ll miss it, winter.
